M6P, chemical name mannose-6-phosphate, in the Chinese standard INCI of cosmetics, is sodium mannose phosphate. It belongs to one of the products of sugar metabolism and actively participates in various metabolic pathways such as energy metabolism and fat metabolism.

M6P not only underwent in vitro evaluations at various cellular levels (such as fibroblasts and keratinocytes), but also validated multiple data including promotion of mitochondrial activity, ATP synthesis, ATP synthase content, autophagy promotion, reduction of ROS and DPPH free radicals, etc. In clinical trials, it clearly demonstrated multiple effects such as brightening skin tone, reducing spot area, tightening, and wrinkle removal.
