Native to eastern Europe and Western Asia, German chamomile abundantly grows in the country, on the road sides and in dry meadows of temperate regions. The ‘compasionate composite’, also called wild chamomile or scented mayweed, offers small flowers with various white petals and a golden yellow heart. The flowers, as well as the greyish leaves, are sweet-scented and exhale a strong honey smell.
